Fellows Society and Shark Circle
NSU’s Fellows Society was created in 2011 by Susie and Alan B. Levan to recognize and honor significant donor gifts. Members include individuals, corporations, foundations, and trusts, whose cumulative giving to NSU exceeds $50,000.
Shark Circle, NSU’s most elite giving society level, comprises Fellows Society members whose lifetime cumulative giving totals $1 million or more.
Together, the Fellows Society and Shark Circle total more than 800 members, whose generosity pushes NSU forward to success.
Membership Benefits
- Fellows Society members are recognized in the program book distributed at the annual induction ceremony.
- Fellows Society members are recognized with plaques on the Fellows Monument in Fellows Way on the Fort Lauderdale/Davie Campus.
- Fellows Society members receive invitations to exclusive Fellows Society events, including the distinguished lecture series, holiday receptions, and special-access tours and presentations.

Shark Circle members are recognized at NSU’s annual Celebration of Excellence and given a marble-and-bronze replica of Kent Ullberg’s Mako Shark Monument, which stands in the center of NSU’s Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus.
1964 Society
NSU's 1964 Society is an esteemed group of alumni, friends, faculty, and staff who have established their legacy at Nova Southeastern University through planned giving. Help NSU meet the challenges of tomorrow by leaving a legacy for future generations of scholars, researchers, and students. Members are recognized for their philanthropic generosity in digital and printed publications and at signature university events featuring key NSU and community leaders.

President’s Associates
Members make annual gifts of $1,000 or more
NSU’s longest-existing donor recognition program, the President’s Associates, comprises annual donors who give $1,000 to $49,999 cumulatively within the fiscal year. Recognition is given for cash, irrevocable gifts, pledge commitments, and gifts-in-kind.
